at long last a black and white spawn

most of the trapping occurred in round caves... but they spawned in the slate square cave in the end....

yes this male is quite small 6.5-7cm... female much larger at 8cm...
i think i have 2 males and 2 def females but you never can be 100% sure with zebs sometimes... might be 1m3f.....

and the cave is one of bream legends also... quite small about 22mm high and 25mm wide (opening)... length about 12cm

day 6 and no eggs!!! :cry: and now the male is fanning flatout.....

well lets hope this was his practice run and the next spawn is more successfull.... the good thing is at least i know they'll spawn again... the other female is still fat so who knows maybe she'll lay soon...

Congrats on the zeb spawn.
I hope your male is a fast learner not like mine, he has grown with every spawn 7 so far, all to be eaten by him. Got some to wriggler stage just to see them gobbled up by him.
I took him out this week and left the two girls with the older male that wasen't
getting any attention, they better start liking him.

i couldnt agree more to be honest because all though the female lays the eggs its really down to the male what he want to do with them let them live :yes: or eat them :cry: so i think the males are just as important to

quick update - the male has a female trapped for a few days now (in/out)
just had a quick peek and he was doing the verticle tail jiggy... so we know what that could mean tomorrow morning!!!! :thumbup:
