hi, I have a 20g with 4 adult platy and 2 juvies(my husbands tank really) and it somehow lost the cycle, possibly during a party, someone hit the strip on/off switch.
So although I hate cycling with fish, i have no choice, and I want to upgrade to a 30g tank. I have a few fsih in a 5g q-tank that I want to put in there eventually, after the cycle is complete. The 5g is also uncycled as it was on the same strip. :wb:
I cut some sponge off one of my AC70's when cleaning the 54g, and stuck some sponge in both tank filters, however it did not help the cycle at all.
Is it ok to put everything from the 20g , water, gravel, decorations, filter-hob, in the 30g while it is cycling, or must I wait till the cycle is complete ? Also , at some point I will be adding another HOB filter on the 30g as the one on the 20g I feel is too small .
I have everythng all set, but then got to thinking perhaps I should wait ????
