well one died, but 3 are doing well.
I have found a shop who may be getting some in in a few weeks.
Tri mar may get some more but they dont seem to QT much (which maybe why I lost one, and I picked out the healthier looking ones in the shop -some had sores on them and were being pecked at by platties in with them!)

will post if I ever manage to get any females!!

great shot, thanks..
I now have some females, got them sent from Sweetknowles, all survived well,
they are such super fish to watch.
so hopefully they will breed when ready.

thanks for that.
some fish are easier than others. I am still struggling with my 134 colony!
I suspect these wont be too hard, just need to get the other fish out now so they can have the tank to themselves. ( have some geos to sell!)

haha alls sorts of names. hillstreams are often called hong kong plcs or butterfly plecs.

but they are not actually plecs, they are loaches.

great little characters though and you see them more than most plecs!

Hi
Thats interesting if I was to put them in a category I would say plec,so what makes them one of the loach family and not plec family and also they don't resemble the characteristics of the well known verities of loaches?.
