Sprouts

I found in an article that Oto's like sprouts and they are included in the veg list for plecs but has anyone tried sprouts and how did they go?

i tried sprouts once, didnt like them too much and my stomache didnt agree with them, my family didnt like me too much the following day either :huh:

i have given sprouts to plecs with reasonable success - but hubby banned them cos you get the smell of sprouts wafting around the room -which he hates.

I've tried sprouts in the tank once - and only the Royal and my L001 were interested. (I'd covered them in boiling water and let them soften for a few minutes before adding them.)

I like sprouts.

lol what a question, i had a plec let one go the other day the geos swam up and swallowed the bubble.

Just an update, found a feeding article the other day on scotcat, sprouts are fine for plecs. I guess its just whether they like them or not but I expect blanching them and making them a little softer would help. Ill try them soon lol

Tried defrosted frozen sprouts last night. The plecs like them and are eating them but the room stinks like cabbage:yes:
