What are the dietary requirements for Ancistrus dolichopterus(L183) and Ancistrus punctatus(L182)?

Omnivores that lean towards a meatier diet?

I feed my dolichopterus tons of veg and they love it. I also feed bloodworm and earthworm pellets in abundance

Same here but I tend to give them a slightly higher protein level than normal ancistrus

Ok thanks very much. Most ancistrus are more veggies based, but i read somewhere that there is a group of ancistrus that should be fed a meatier diet-- i was thinking these two might be part of that group.

Could be Doodles. I know if I chuck bloodworm in the tank they are straight out of there hiding places and munching away. Mind you that would probably go for most Ancistrus

given many algae wafers have a lot of fish meal in them anyway, that should do fine inbetween the garden veg

lol yep, my commons and L144 love prawns--but they don't get them as often as they would like
