Hi all, is RO water essential for breeding Zebra plecos?
I have a colony of 8 had them foe 4 years, not entirely sure of sex ratio, at a guess i would say 4 or 5 males, only going from the ones that are caving regularly.
Not bred yet, fully grown around10cm.

No, tap water is usually sufficient. But I don't know the tap water of Sydney.
Frequent, larger water changes are important.
