Does he look like he has ascites? Or is he just chunky? Not sure if the dark is normal or not. I haven't had a good look at him. Had him for 3 months and he still hardly ever comes out from the back of the tank behind his log. Now occasionally he is up on the wood or on the back wall so we snuck these photos just to check on him and saw his belly and unsure if he is ok.
I can't figure out if this guy is bloated or not. Help?

It could be a spawning female or an over-fed male. Maybe you should feed a little less.

i agree feed a little less and is probilbly a female loaded with eggs may be feed some peas to it if it is cosstapated it will help
