help my L134's have ich

hi all
My colony of L134 have white spot
I have raised the temp and started a half treatment of Protozin.
Is there anything else i can do??

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

There really isnt much to do, Just keep a very close eye on them and make sure they get better. Keep with the protozin and maybe add in an airstone for increased oxygen in the tank. Hope this helps

Just put an extra air stone in so have a total of 3 in there now

I have my heater set at 30C bit only reaching 28.8C at the highest and as low as 27.5C.
Should I add another heater to get it tO stay at a constant 30C??

I would maybe raise the heater a bit to 31 if its not reaching 30. Just make sure it doesn't get too hot otherwise the white spot will not be the only thing to worry about.

I have heard about aquarium salts, do these help??

some people add salt but not sure if it will mix with the treatment you have chosen. i think they add salt instead of chemicals. hopefully the temp and med will do it. have to keep it going for quite a while. good luck.

Salt can be added, although for L134s I wouldn't add it, just keep up what you are doing for a few days and monitor and progress and report back here and we can see what to do next buddy

Depends how viralent a strain of ich you have. You may need to dose full dose Protozin.
Keep the feeding down low so your tank doesn't cop rising nitrates due to uneaten foods.

Lost 3 fish today I think it has a lot to do with temp rising and lowering it's gong from 26.5C low to 28 .8. Tanks is in the garage so I put on an extra heater to help control the temp, seems to be working. But fish are covered with spots :-(

I normally do 30 even 32 up on temp with Rock(Sea) salt instead of aquarium salt.
Also if it 's serious , I use Melafix,Pimafix together after 30% water change.
