I am looking for some recommendations for plecos that could work in the following setup.
The tank is a 6x2x2 with a 4 ft sump and is a blackwater planted tank. The current inhabitants are:
8 x Pterophyllum Altum
25 x rummynose tetras
20 x sterbai corydoras
There is plans to add a few dwarf cichlid species in the future as well.
My concern with finding a pleco species to go in this setup is that my water is very soft so my parameters in the tank end up being:
Ph: 5.5-6 (can go slightly lower, hasn’t been below 5)
Kh: 1
Gh: 3
Temp: 29.5 degrees Celsius.
I would ideally like a species that stays small at around 10cm or possibly 14cm max.
