Hello all, I needed help iding these plecos. I accidentally put them together and i just wanted a confirmation of which one was which.I labeled the pics as the one i think are the L401s which are the lighter ones. Please let me know and thank you!

Also they came into me as L236 and L401 if they arent those its fine but that is what they were listed as.

If the location where it was caught is not known, it is very difficult to say which species or form of worm-lined Hypancistrus it is.
If the Hypancistrus are not too young, you may be able to make a rough classification based on the body proportions. But that is not certain either. The drawing in worm-lined Hypancistrus is generally not sufficient.
Especially with Hypancistrus sp. "L 236" you should be able to rely on the seller. Otherwise you should not buy the catfish as such.
If you have different Hypancistrus species or forms, you should separate the plecos before they become sexually mature.
