Name: Hypancistrus lunaorum

Common Names: L339

Location: Venezuela , upper regions of the Orinoco river

Appearance: Similar in appearance to the L102- Hyp Inspector, however they have finer dots and these are more frequent. The L339 has approximate 5-6 teeth in the upper jaw compared to 10-15 for the L102. This L339 also has an unusual trait, that adult males have long odontodes on their tails reaching as far as behind the head, very similar to the peckoltia and Panaqulos males.

Compatibility:
A peaceful and unproblematic fish. As in most species if more than one are kept, please provide sufficient hiding places and caves.

Diet:
Omnivore
