<------------------Upload attachments--------------->

Appearance: The body is typical of the genus with a slightly broad head and a tapering body when viewed from above.
Can only really be confused with L66 and L333.
L236 has a white base coloration with black lines. With fewer lines than L66 and L333, they are also thinner. Belly is all white.

Compatibility: Not an over aggressive fish but will compete for caves hiding places with some aggression so small bottom dwellers are best avoided.

Sexing and Breeding: Typical of the Genus. Males have more pectoral odontodes. Males also have plate odontodes on the body. Females are more round in the ventral region. Males are slimmer with the typical pointed head

Diet: A fish that like the majority of its genus prefers meaty foods to vegetable matter.
Will take flake and other prepared commercial foods.

Water parameters: PH6.6 - 7.6 Temp 24.0-29.0°C or 75.2-84.2°F
This fish is from a tributary of the Xingu thus a typical Xingu set-up would be desirable. Fine sand. Rocks and scattered driftwood. Caves are essential 1 per fish plus a few extra

Max Size: 120mm /4.7"
