I know many pleco enthusiasts have been trying to find a source for L236 because of that one circulating photo of a hybrid created with an L236.

I do have a source for them, but they ARE pricey ($250). If anyone is interested, let me know and I will pass along information!

Well, that sucks

Two problems. First, the source I had is now "dry". They are all sold (adults, young, ALL). Second, mrsjinkzd as a source is ALSO drying up.

Apparently she sells them "on consignment" from an older man (60+ years old) who had only one breeder pair. And his breeder pair have passed away because of some problems with the heater in their tank.

He's trying to grow out some of the offspring he still had in order to breed more. But let's face the facts. I don't want to sound evil or mean, but he's well into his 60's. If anything happens to him before those plecos grow and start breeding again....

We may very well lose the L236 from the hobby.

If anyone finds ANY OTHER SOURCE out there, let us know! Things are looking bad right now!
