LDA07 has been spawned numerous times. Here is an old article.

Even its much larger cousin L25 has been spawned recently. If you want to take the effect on breeding large plecos, you should give L25 a try instead as it is from Rio Xingu while LDA07 is from Rio Negro. We all know what's going to happen to the lower Rio Xingu next year.

L25 will mostly be extinct in the near future along with most of the Lower Xingu species as the Belo Monte Dam gets closer to operational in 2015.

not many people have. i have a group of 5 i am growing up to breed -hopefully, but cant even sex them easily unless a female is very gravid. you need a big tank, like 5 ft.
