Will there be an issue with temporarily housing newly hatched fry with young of about 1.5 months old? will feeding cause a problem or will the newly hatched fry be picked on by the older young? theres about 15 (at a guess fry) and x 4 young at about 1" TL

Any thoughts?

although I never had this problem, I would state no. Some BN have multiply frys and eggsa etc and all get on well, so would say no issue. cheers jk

I house different age groups together in grow up tanks and that goes fine. But I leave the fry in the breeding tanks until they are 2-3 months old and about 2cm big.
Very small fry witch are only just free swimming must get anough food. If there are to much older bigger fry in the tank they can struggle to get plenty food and so starve and die.
I feed the newly free swimming fry extra dust foods that the adults don't eat. Also feed several times a day. The older fry in the grow up tanks only get fed twice a day with normal foods, tablets and frozen.

Hope this hepls :)
