007's been busy

i retrieved a heap of fry last night from the tank and the ones that remained in males cave....

when i fed em tonight the male didnt come out to eat which is highly unusual... he even comes out to eat while sitting on wrigglers... so i did the stupid thing and shone torch in his cave to see more eggs :woohoo:

hope he doesnt get shiitty with me and kick em out :cry:

they are one tough pleco and never leave any food uneaten...

mine come out during the day to eat -> love bloodworms

I might just drop a cube in now. I've got a gravid young female with scrapes all down her body

nasty agro breeders too... but being tough they take an absolute beating... had one female scuffed out bleeding both rear flanks and her dorsal shredded and half her tail missing... 3-4 days and she was healed up almost like new...

first few spawns were infertile and the next few 50/50 fertile/infertile before they started breeding 100% fertile spawns...

rival males beat the crap out of each other too.... and funny enough even girls blew with each other... but at a less aggressive rate.... :thumbup:
