Not a very good pic, will try and get a better one. Bought from lfs labeled as clown plec...... really don't think so... So rang for the L number and told they are L002. Just wondered if anyone can confirm or deny this for me. Thanks in advance.

I can't tell much at all from that photo, try to get some closer ones from the top down, sides, and mouth.

Clown pleco is a commonly used name for several different species, mainly Panaque/Panaqolus maccus and Peckoltia vittata, with L002 being an undescribed Panaque/Panaqolus. All are easily distinguishable from each other, if what you have is one of them.

From that picture, it looks like a young Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps. Potentially a 45cm/18" fish, quite a lot larger than anything called a 'clown' pleco.

It doesn't look like an L002 - as above, need better photos. Have a look through the pleco profiles, you might spot it in there.

yes kids killed my dig cam lol so grabbing one shortly to take some clearer pics and will post them.
