My new 8000lph hour pump and pond filter (suitable for ponds upto 10000Ltrs) from APS arrived today. It cost £152 combined with free delivery (I have a 10% discount code lmk if you need it).

The filter looks good it has a float on it so you know when it requires cleaning. Also a handle that you turn to clean It out which you can do without opening. Also a 11W uv lamp which I'm not sure if I'm going to use it yet.

The pump is a little on the large side as you can see from the photo I have just plonked it in to test it out.

I have to organise some pipe work which I'm not sure how I'm going to do yet. I also want to put a float switch in to prevent the filter draining the tank in minutes!

Underneath shot of xingu. First time I have seen him since I got him. His mouth is looking good (all the redness has gone). His belly is nice and full.

Thanks Jackson.

He is getting daily veg (sometimes twice) he will only really eat courgette. Doesn't even like wafers!

Also got the pond filter set up and it's doing a great job. There is one dead spot in the tank which I just siphon the mess up.

Hoping to get a new addition in there soon from rare soon :)

I know went to Penzance and back over weekend. So had a few stops on way. I wanted to try South Yorkshire aquatics but we wanted to get the live stock back.

840mile trip but was great!

Cool I'm no expert. Looked at a lot of photos of panaques (I mean a lot). But most are older, so I find it hard with juveniles to distinguish what they are.

They have about 15 in stock Matt. Think I will popping back in for a few more. I'm sure they will do deals on multiple buys.

Also had a really nice big full spot 330 for £150 (13" at a guess)

All four of them lined up for the veg.

Another pic of new addition.

I find it really difficult to get a decent pic with the IPhone. Any tips would be good!
The amount of air bubbles in the water doesn't help as well. Need to get SLR out

Nice to see the Panaque keepers has a new member, good looking set up. Will you add any characins or cichlids to the set up? Happy to make some suggestions.

Cheers,

As Jackson previously suggested I think I will go with some geo's. I'm not sure of specious so up for suggestions. I always fancied doing what you have done and have a bio type from a specific river. But I really want lots of panaque lol!

I saw some geo's in a shop in Leeds yesterday but I held of I case I changed my mind. Also I want to quorantine them before I add them (I can feel another tank coming on)

Jackson- thanks dude!

Hopefully got a new and exciting peace coming soon!
