found this stuck to intake

ok, so while doing a wc today I found this critter stuck to intake. I believe it had wings , tried to suck it off with my turkey baster ,got the body but the wings were drifting around in pieces. Scooped up as much as possible.

My question is can this critter cause illness or what are the chances it can cause illness in the tank. It was in the 54g corner tank with the 2 L128's.

Might be a dragon fly. Guessing because I can't see your pic

Looks like the oriental flower beetles we have herein Hawaii. Don't think it's toxic in any way, I can't think of many bugs that are.

sorry guys, did not mean to delete it so quickly--just that i hate the slide show everytime I post a pic. Been taking to photobucket to find the old way of posting just one pic.

Lorne , sounds like you caught a glimpse before i deleted and thanks for the reply. Yikes when i found it in my tank , knew it flew in from outside just did not want to take any chances with the blue phantoms.
