Just a quick question, whats the best food for red whiptail fry?
I've been everything even plants and wood covered in algae, but still
not having much success in getting them to survive.
Lucky to get a handful from each batch of eggs.
Cheers Tony

they are meat eaters - try baby brine , rotifers , cyclopeze , daphnia for starters....

adults can survive on greens and even spawn - but much prefer blood worms and brine shrimp....

try keeping guppies in a tank full of red whiptails - amusing to say the least...

i do like the fluro green eggs they lay - thats cool... :)

Thanks johno,
I'll give that a go for the next batch
I have seen the younger fish 4 cm having a go at smaller snails, and have noticed an increase in the number of empty snail shells in a couple of other tanks that I'm keeping them in.
One way of controlling the pesky snail population.
