Very interesting, just shows all of us to do the homework and research any fish we buy before actually going ahead with it.

great article jk . Hope this saves fish and people who who purchase a fish just because it looks cool, or is a tankbuster. One morning they could wake up and find the newly purchased fish alone in their tank ....too late. Thanks for sharing it.

Its a real shame that LFS still sell gibbies I wish they didn't as most people are not equipped to house them when they grow up
our local pets at home still sells them but does have a label on the tank saying that they grow large
it would be even better though if they sold plecs that were more suitable like bristlenoses for example
we got our gibby when the chap at our local shop talked me in to taking him on , he had been brought back when he outgrew a customers tank , hes happy as larry in a 400 litre tank now

Yup agree, gibbies should be banned as each LFS owner sells them and does not inform the client correctly about its needs. Very sad. Cheers jk :thumbup:
