Nitrospira is the dominant nob (nitrite oxidizing bacteria) in most aquarium systems, as they thrive in lower concentrations nitrogenous waste--assumedly, they oxidize nitrite more efficiently, rather than rapidly. Nitrobacteracae are far less common. Also, to be fair, nitrobacter in fact thrive quite readily in high ammonia conditions, and henceforth are often found in heavily crowded aquaculture environments, not so much conventional aquaria.
