Today, Ingo Seidel informs in the journal Aquaristik Fachmagazin that scientific studies led by Prof. Leandro Sousa show that the responsible catching of ornamental fishes on the rio Xingu does not endanger their existence. Therefore, the plecos above may continue to be exported from Brazil. For now.
