Hello there!!

My name is Antony i am 22 and after keeping fish for aslong as i can remember i have now caught the pleco bug!.. i have used this forum for tips and advice so thought it was about time i signed up!.

Im currently running a 6ft mixed community tank with a range of different plecos but want to try my hand at breeding as i have a 2 1/2 ft tank running for it.

Anyone recommend a good starter plec to begin this venture?

Thanks !

:hi: Hi Antony, welcome to plecoplanet.
How about a pair of BN's to get you going?
or were you looking at having a go at something a bit more fancy first?

I agree bristle noses would be a good start and economical

My project is with L134 leopard frogs of which I have 8 altogether 5 in the 6ft community tank and a breeding trio in a 24 inch tank As I type the male Has remained firmly in his favourite tube and has been for around 8 days now

Im new here too btw

A friend who manages the local Maidenhead store has pointed me in the direction of the L134's! I like the look of this but where is the best place to find a pair, or would you recommend growing up a group?

I deffinatly feel like trying something fancier, good luck with your L134s !!
It all really depends on the costing of the actual fish and so on as to what i try to breed.

Thanks for the welcome !
