Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum and to keeping plecs.

I currently have a ancistrus sp. 4 in my 60L.

I'm currently setting this tank up as a breeding tank. After this is complete I will find my plec a mate.

Today I made some caves out of pipe and I was wondering if they would be okay.

EDIT: Forgot to say I'm 15 :D

Hi James.

Re caves: I have tried making them in the past. My Pleco's seem to like the slate caves you can get and turn there noses up at my efforts.

Welcome to Plecoplanet! I love this place and I'm sure you will too.
I'd die if I didn't have my Iphone for on-the-go access! Haha.
Enjoy your stay.
:hi: :welcome:

hello and welcome.
pipe caves are usually OK, cant tell from pic what diameter they are.
often best to give them a choice of shapes and sizes. if on limited budget try an upturned flower pot with entrance cut in rim or a coconut shell.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

They're black plastic pvc down pipes. 68mm

Think I'm going to change them for slate caves...
