Endlers and cherry shrimp are good.
For water barometers tho with juvies, you cant beat those rainbowfish.
As soon as their colors go off, I check the water ph, nitrates and phosphates.

Caught my pH at 5.3 the other night, phos 10, colors off on the rainbowfish.
Did a waterchange, took out a bit of old gravel, added in a bit of gravel with crushed coral, added a phosban bag to the otto internal filter cup and the rainbows colors came back so vivid they almost looked to be dripping bright red.

what other pleco's i meant. i kinda reckon i have got the bug now. also i would like to put more in the l397 tank when they arrive what other pleco's will go in there ok, diet and reproductive wise.
what are the dearer plecos out of all the ones available in austraila?

i would like to say welcome but wow 5 oscars in a 5ft tank thats not right
it should be 1 oscar per 230ltr i have had my 2 oscars for 4 years now and i have 2 in 6x2x2 with an fx5 you should think about rehoming some of your oscars
and nice lot of plecs you r getting..
and i am sorry if i come across rude i am truely not trying to be
but oscars are a very messy fish..

All good mate, i'm here to learn and hopefully one day to contribute as well. the oscars are only 2 inches long a t m. they are all healthy and seem happy a t m.

no worries mate its just when they reach 5-6" your filter wont be able to cope with the bio-load..... so your ammonia & nitrates will clime very very quick
