Another Manc saying Hi

Bought my first L number a fortnight ago, an L330 watermelon at 8". Have also got a gibbicep L083 in my smaller tank currently only a baby at 4".

I'm restocking my main tank after some rogue carbon off ebay killed all 9 of my angelfish (several up to 10" with fins), my common plec, 4 blue rams, bronze corydoras and 8 junior convict cichlids. They all died overnight within 48hrs of putting this carbon in my filter:cry:

I'll only ever buy branded carbon from my LFS from now on, lesson learned.

Anyhoo, looking forward to spending some time on here.

Good to have you with us, so sorry to hear you had a lot of losses, for what its worth though, i dont have carbon running in any of my tanks, unless its for a short period to remove any meds.

hello and welcome, I dont use carbon either.

Hi, interesting to hear that you dont regularly use carbon.

I'm in Ashton-under-Lyne Dillon, not a proper Manc but close enough.
