Hi all, New to Pleco Planet . I'm an angel fish breeder first but now have found interest in bristlenose plecos. I have albino LF and SF, calico lf and sf, green sf and 1 red sf. I'm more interested in genetics of dominant genes as with angel fish. How do you come up with a calico for example, is the lf gene carried to sf babies? As with color, albino is incomplete dominant or it takes 2 A/A at least 1 from each parent to produce a percentage of albino babies?
I know most of the gene info for angel fish but not sure on plecos. A genetics calculator would be nice.

:welcome: and good that you have found us. I cant help you with genetics, as I breed the pure line and not the BN in which forms you get calico, albino long fin etc. I am sure other with the experience in breeding the BN would let you know. cheers jk
