Hi Guys, thinking about getting some of these, would they be suitable for a 65 litre tank?

What would be the best dithers? I really want some C. Metae...

Thanks :)

By the way, pH 7.6 (I'll be adding alder cones though)

Oh, on Planet catfish it said 7 cm so i thought that would be perfect for my 65L.

I was thinking a pair.

PC gives all sizes in Standard Length (SL). SL measures are from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail so do not include the length of the tail fin.

I kept a group of 5 small hypans either L129/L270 in a 24" x 12" x 15" tank and were spawning for me and all did well in that size of tank. did have an Eheim 2324 running it tho..

Id say a trio or quad and a few pygmy corries would be fine

Thanks for the info!

I was thinking about getting a small eheim, one of the ones you can get for about £40 - £50 and running it with the Fluval U2 with the fluval providing flow and an emergency back up!

Hey James. I think a pair would be fine. I moved my pair for 2 weeks to a 60 Litre while i repaired my 3foot. They spawned 2days later. If anything they seemed happier. Although daily 30% wwater changes due to my paranoia about the size of the tank probably helped! I would say with regular (at least 30% weekly, ideally twice) they would be fine.

I decided to buy some c. meatae today, as it's my birthday, and in a few weeks i will by a 30" 85Ltr clearseal tank, transfer my substrate and equitment, and add another filter, and run that with my c metae and H deblittera. Wasn't 100% on keeping the fish in this tank, though I do trust you guys, I want to give the fish the best :)

Thanks :)

Haha fair enough, you can always use your 60 litre tank for something smaller, maybe get some chocolate zebras and grow them out? Would do well in a 60 litre.
