Female behavior after breeding

So general question on the process the BN go through.

This is the order right?

1.) The male sits at the cave
2.) he traps female in till eggs are laid
3.) he kicks her out, fertilizes eggs and protects them till hatched etc.
4.) fry hatch and eventually leave
5.) The end


I just had a female in a cave laying eggs, she left, now she went back in.... any idea why that would be? Just a break between laying all the eggs or what?

The female left the cave and went back in again... wonder if I was suppose to remove the female from the tank... I googled it and found no good info on why the female would be doing what shes doing
