Hi All,
I was wondering if L66 take longer to be sexually mature than L333, My old colony of L333 started breeding at 6cm -6.5cm, my largest L66 atr around 7cm and smallest around 5cm,

its always an age versus size issue on maturity....

sometimes a fish may only be 6cm when it breeds but maybe 3 years old...

but i will say i have blown the 5 year male maturity on zebs out of the water... try 3 years.... and a mate i sold fry to says his may even be under 3 years when they first spawned...

it does seem most of the L's breed at a younger age these days... prob something to do with the hormones etc in our water....

Your L66s are still young, my didnt start breeding until they reach around 9cm. Females tends to be abit smaller but my breeder males are around 12 to 13 now as compare to my L333 they stay around 9cm or so.
