Hi everyone, just signed up and thought I should say hello.

I've recently started keeping bristlenose and hope to breed at some point, a hobby I suppose I've picked up from my father as he used to breed them often and currently still keeps a Breeding Peppermint trio that I rather Envy.

Anyway, thanks for having me hope to see you all around

*edit*
Also, Thought I should mention I'm currently attempting to breed Albino BN in a 2ft tank, 1Male of large size (8-10cm) and three females (4-5cm) not sure if this is too much? Some local advice I've been given is to actually have a ratio of 3 males to 1 female but this seemed quite contradictory to most of what I read and the 1m-3f ratio I used to follow with guppies

I also have a smaller tank that I'm not entirely sure of its length that I was tempted to throw a Pair of commons into, even though I've only recently started the hobby I kind of snapped up bristlenose from a few places and currently have most housed in a community 4ft tank at a friends place. In all honesty I'm not entirely sure what I've got in there right now but I know there should be 2 common males about 8cm in length and another albino with less impressive bristles (unless its possible I've got a female with some bristles running up the nose)

Hi Bristlegoat

Good luck with your breeding endeavours! I know what you mean about being caught, you know I originally thought plecos were weird and ugly looking and couldn't understand why they were so expensive!

Boy do things change, they really grow on you and take over. I have just started my L46 Zebra tank and they are true fish porn!!!

Cheers
