Spotted this morning one of my l134 was missing has its rear fin and the back half of the body was white/very light. Have now moved to a separate tank.

Whats the best way for me to treat it and aid fast recovery?

If you have them on hand I would be adding some melafix and pimafix they well help the healing and help stop any fungul growth on the wound. Good clean water will also help. I"ve seen a lot worse and they healed just fine.

When you said you moved him to another tank this morning, was this tank already set up?

The tank had only been setup for a few days, but I used water from the main tank and moved some media over plus a internal filters that was in the main tank.

sounds the best plan. lots of w/c and fixes each day.
also keep beady eye on other fish for any sign of early fin rot and if in doubt put fixes in there too.

Little update, the previous photos didn't really show how bad it was probably as they were taken with my phone. Managed to take some with the slr, it did look worst with more red patches so it's getting better.

I was just thinking that earlier today, I originally brought a group of 8 and it was in with them. Once healed with post up some pictures I think he could be either l270 or l129 but not sure, might not be either.

good. keep the w/c going. looks like will recover. I would not put him back with the others as he may be different species.
