I did have this plant in a tank once But with out Co2 so I had little success with it.

From what I have been told its quite hard to grow with out Co2.
Needs soft water and a good planing media like one of the clay based media.

Let me know how it gets on with your tanks C02 I think I may give it a go again some time

Hi all,
It is high maintenance, because it isn't really an aquatic as such, and needs a lot of pruning to keep it as a mat. As suggested it also needs high light, CO2 and feeding.

im currently growing this without co2 injection but i am using easycarb liquid co2 and its doing really well. only had it in about 3 weeks and in the areas where theres decent enough light its growing like mad.
