Pleco Quarantine - Can I Use Prazi & Metro?

Hi All,

I posted earlier with no response but maybe I wasn't doing it right and thought I should try again.

I have a new, five days, Gold Nugget (L018); picture attached, and am not sure how to care for it in quarantine as I can't really find much online regarding care. I've already lost a few and am not sure why but I like this type and am trying yet again. I also have other pleco types in tanks.

It adheres to the driftwood, sometime lies on the bottom, or adheres to the sides: upper, lower, etc.

I'm not sure if it's eating though I do find droppings that may be mostly from the driftwood in my 10 gal. (3.78 liters) bare bottom tank.

My question. Can, or should I, I use meds, like Metronidazole and PraziPro (tm) as a preventative/prophylactic. How long should I quarantine for? What should I look for?

Temp: 82 f (27.7 c)
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Feeding: algae wafers and natural algae scraped from other tanks

Thanks. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Stu
