Some good info about the various types of bacteria and antibiotics.

It doesn't mention but most bacterial problems are caused by gram negative bacteria. Even though gram positive bacteria aren't as common there is one disease that is virtually impossible to treat and is also zoonotic. The bacteria involved is mycobacteria and the disease is fish TB and in my opinion more common than generally believed. It can quite often be the cause of multiple fish deaths(sometimes without showing symptoms)over a long period of time. Not all fish die of TB, in fact some can lead a normal healthy long life but they are still carriers of the bacteria.
