Dwarf puffers, talk to me

Popped into my LFS tonight for some more flake, they had just got a delivery in.

Included was a load of Dwarf Puffers, always loved these little guys but never kept them

Are they community (Tetra and Panda Cory) safe?

Best to buy a group?

Assume any Shrimp in the tank will be gobbled up fairly quickly?

the misses has had these.not good with other fish,they like to nip fins etc.
best left in a tank of on there own.

totally agree- one fish kind of guys/girls. There are several types of dwarf puffers and some of them need brackish and some need alternating fresh/brackest depending on the part of the river/sea system they came from.

Only know this because we have to debate it when me and theother half go to the lfs and see them.... i mean debate it every time!!!! (about 5 debates so far!)

Just done some googling and it seems to support the above, shame I would have liked 4 or 5.
