I usually have these little guys in my pond where they keep the mosquito population under control and they do breed in the Spring.
During winter though it is likely the pond will drop close to freezing which is a tad on the nippy side so for the next few months they have been collected and moved into a 1.5ft tank with an Eheim 2213 classic canister with the pressure turned down low.

Here's a write up of them.

Yup they like their water fairly cool so no heater for them in their fishroom tank. They like that ph fairly high as well so an average of 7.5 or so but they can take much higher.

Here is their tank with a flash photo.

The tank is lit on a timer with desk light leds. Here is a photo without flash but it tends to be blurry.

They eat pretty much anything including flake foods. They aren't fussy.
If I'd have known they were going to line up for decent photos today I would have wiped down the glass! lol.

They are really nice, would be perfect for my nano if it was slightly bigger, 35 litres.
