Moving fish from tank to tank will only stress them out. I would have left it in the tank in which she spawned. IF it happened once it will happen again without interference

Depends on what, if any tank mates you have. If its a plec only breeding tank I wouldn't Worry about separating the young unless its a small tank.

I would say yes to the size of the tank, try a combination of caves if you have both types and small tetras as tank mates. The ph at a guess will be fine.

Im going to disagree with the "plants can trap...

Im going to disagree with the "plants can trap and hide unwanted waste" comment. In fact i dont think i have ever heard of real plants causing the water to pollute because they have had trapped waste...

Not sure how sticky their eggs are if they are very sticky i wouldnt worry about them falling out. i would imagine when they stop swimming into the mop to spawn that they have finished.
